Mt Hawthorn is a family

and we celebrate our community by supporting diversity,
togetherness and positive urban experiences.

Welcome to the Mt Hawthorn Hub

Enriching Mt Hawthorn

The Mount Hawthorn Hub is a non profit community organisation for people who enjoy one of Perth’s most evolving cafe strips. Mount Hawthorn is friendly and personal, with its own sense of community and diversity.

The hub brings together local residents, retailers and community groups who want to maintain the unique identity of Mount Hawthorn and make it a welcoming place to live, work and play.

We encourage and promote the diversity, lifestyle and retail environment in Mount Hawthorn by building a unique sense of identity through the organisation of local events, creative projects and streetscape improvements.

The Hub is run by a dedicated bunch of volunteers who live and/or work in Mt Hawthorn.

Are you wanting to reduce your footprint on the planet, bring worn out things up to scratch or just really into restoration? Then this will be your favourite coffee date ever!! Repair Cafe Perth takes place again this coming Saturday (APR 21) at Academy Mount Hawthorn cafe (inside Hawaiian's Mezz) where volunteer experts will be available to help you make repairs with clothing, bikes, toys and other household items.
They can even can look at electrical faults if they're low voltage i.e. are battery powered or have an adaptor. If you're not sure if you should bring it in, take a look at www.repaircafeperth.org or just contact them through their FB Repair Cafe Perth and ask :) For larger items - if you can carry it with your arms, bring it in - so no dining tables or washing machines. #reduce #reuse #recycle
