Mt Hawthorn is a family

and we celebrate our community by supporting diversity,
togetherness and positive urban experiences.

Welcome to the Mt Hawthorn Hub

Enriching Mt Hawthorn

The Mount Hawthorn Hub is a non profit community organisation for people who enjoy one of Perth’s most evolving cafe strips. Mount Hawthorn is friendly and personal, with its own sense of community and diversity.

The hub brings together local residents, retailers and community groups who want to maintain the unique identity of Mount Hawthorn and make it a welcoming place to live, work and play.

We encourage and promote the diversity, lifestyle and retail environment in Mount Hawthorn by building a unique sense of identity through the organisation of local events, creative projects and streetscape improvements.

The Hub is run by a dedicated bunch of volunteers who live and/or work in Mt Hawthorn.

6006 In The Park Free Event w/ Tired Lion

6006 In The Park Free Event w/ Tired Lion

January 28, 2018, 4:00pm - January 28, 2018, 9:00pm

Woodville Reserve
Perth, WA,  6006 Map

North Perth community association North Perth Local is thrilled to announce the second outing of its annual free community concert 6006 In the Park.

With support from major sponsor City of Vincent, 6006 in the Park will bring together local residents, businesses and musicians in a free and inclusive celebration of all things North Perth, set to take place in the glorious sunshine of Woodville Reserve Sunday January 28.

This year’s concert is headlined by acclaimed WA indie rockers and Triple J favourites Tired Lion and includes a mixed bag of WAM Award-winning Perth talent including Felicity Groom, Rick Steele Band, Spacey Jane and a very special welcome to country performed by Whudjuk traditional owner Matthew McGuire.

If there’s one thing North Perth does well it’s offering delightful food and drink in the sunshine and local watering hole Rosemount Hotel have been enlisted to operate a pop up bar throughout the day in addition to food stalls from Pash Frozen Yoghurt, Jumplings, The Place Tex-Mex food truck and Coffee Crusader. Of course a day in the park is nothing without a snag and sauce and our friends at North Perth Primary P & C will be ably staffing the grill.

Given that North Perth is jam-packed with cute-as-a-button young families, 6006 In The Park is paying special attention to pint-sized residents. A bouncy castle, a baby animal farm and TWO face painters will all be on hand for maximum little person enjoyment. Doggos - who are already very familiar with this grassy venue - are also welcome.

Chair of North Perth Local Ida Smithwick said “North Perth Local hopes this free, fun family event with a strong focus on children-friendly activities and a line-up of talented, local artists will engage our residents and continue to foster a sense of identity and pride in our City of Vincent”.

And like all good neighbourhood parties it’s important to include the neighbours - throughout the afternoon the North Perth Community Garden and Vincent Men’s Shed will fling open their doors for an Open Day from 4-6pm. What a busy day on the block! See you there neighbour!

Key Info:
6006 in the Park, Sunday, 28 January 2018
Times: 4pm – 9pm with music to finish by 8.30pm. Free Entry
Woodville Reserve, Cnr Fitzgerald and Farmer Streets North Perth
