Congratulations to all of you. Thank you for volunteering your time, skills and passion.

At @missymoos_mthawthorn for their menu refresh launch tonight. Super delicious burgers, brioche buns and to top it off, the new “sweet bun” is super delicious. Make sure you pop in, grab their new loyalty card and grab a free coffee for a gold coin donation, funds raised go to Aranmore Catholic Primary School for their upgrade to the multipurpose sports court. It’s been a great night of delicious food and local friendly faces. #supportlocal #loyaltycard #mthawthorn #lovemthawthorn #vincentlife #mthawrhornhub @ Missy Moos ... See MoreSee Less

COMMUNITY COMMENT REQUESTED

At the recent Mt Hawthorn Streets & Lanes Festival Sioux Tempestt Artist and community members painted this 13m long mural. It's now on display at Hawaiian's Mezz.

The mural is an example of an artwork that could be permanently painted on the pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Oxford Street and Scarborough Road.

The artwork would announce the #MtHawthorn Town Centre, help to slow traffic and be beautiful to walk on!

The Mt Hawthorn Hub's Streetscapes team are putting together a submission to get funding for this project.

Please help us to collate some community feedback by answering this question in the comment below. A YES (or no) response would be fine, but we'd love to gather comment which would support our submission.

Thank you all for taking the time to comment. If you'd like to be part of the team that works to make ideas like this happen, please come along to our AGM this evening and learn more about out Streetscapes, Events and Business subcommittees. 6:30pm at the Art Garage, 191 Scarborough Beach Road.

Do you mean on the actual road or on a wall? Silly question? Sorry, I'm confused 😕

Yes, makes an obvious visual statement to drivers that they are in a pedestrian zone.

Very happy to lend my support to get any Main Roads approval!

Awesome work Sioux! I’m a huge fan of any public art, there’s no downside to making Perth a more vibrant, aesthetically pleasing place to live! 🙌

Yes I support this idea. We are going to do something similar at Curtin University.
