Mt Hawthorn is a family

and we celebrate our community by supporting diversity,
togetherness and positive urban experiences.

Welcome to the Mt Hawthorn Hub

Enriching Mt Hawthorn

The Mount Hawthorn Hub is a non profit community organisation for people who enjoy one of Perth’s most evolving cafe strips. Mount Hawthorn is friendly and personal, with its own sense of community and diversity.

The hub brings together local residents, retailers and community groups who want to maintain the unique identity of Mount Hawthorn and make it a welcoming place to live, work and play.

We encourage and promote the diversity, lifestyle and retail environment in Mount Hawthorn by building a unique sense of identity through the organisation of local events, creative projects and streetscape improvements.

The Hub is run by a dedicated bunch of volunteers who live and/or work in Mt Hawthorn.

“Creativity, problem solving and developing imagination is just as important (as literacy and numeracy) and our kids need it to solve the problems of the 21st century” Robyn Ewing – Professor of Teacher Education University of Sydney.

Art of Resilience Strength Heroes provide opportunities to develop those essential skills in Very Arty Afternoons. An 8 week program of after school play based workshops held at the Loftus Community Centre.

A perfect opportunity for your kids to “switch off” and let imagination and creativity take over to create unique one of a kind art pieces. They won't even notice they are developing resilience skills such as mistake making and regulating their emotions to bounce forward.

The next course commences on October 15th. For more information visit: www.eventbrite.com.au/o/art-of-resilience-14727754639

Check out the beautiful new light installation brightening up the Anvil Laneway between @tsukayaperth and @movehf. The suspended festoon LED lighting provides an interesting and attractive element to the streetscape and lights the way to @neighbourhoodpizza and the Coogee St car park. The lighting was funded as part of the Mt Hawthorn Hub’s Town Centre Initiative Town Team Grant. Thank you to the adjacent businesses and landowners who supported the initiative and the @cityofvincent for assisting The Hub to facilitate it.

Looks sensational!!

Making a dark laneway feel safe.

What a great idea for what can be a little uninviting looking area at night. Now how do we get the graffiti cleaned off the wall murals?

Thanks to Michael from Iga to make it happen to
